Construction / Project Management
In the Construction/Project Management method of construction the Client hires a Project Manager to act on their behalf to oversee the whole project delivery from design to completion of construction. Unlike General Tender or Design-Build methods of construction, the Client is more involved with the project and has more responsibility.
The Project Manager and the Client select the consultants to complete the design of the project. Then they tender the project and award contractors and suppliers the construction work.
This method provides:
- A Project Manager who makes decisions for the client and administrates the project.
- The Client is responsible to issue contracts and payments directly to the awarded contractors and suppliers.
- Team effort that requires substantial owner involvement.
