You can't build a great project without a good foundation. We invite you to take a moment to find out about our 'foundation', by learning about our history.
In 1949 George Schiedel established Schiedel Concrete and Steel Farm Construction. The Company was a small one-man operation that laid concrete sidewalks, foundations and floors, and erected steel farm buildings. In 1950 George was successful in a tender to demolish a vacant residence. Using the resources from the old building, he was able to sell the salvageable materials and give his growing company a vital boost. Even in the early years, ingenuity and resourcefulness were characteristic of the company.
In 1951 the business became Schiedel Construction Ltd., and from 1951 through 1975, business grew to include the building of churches, schools and medical facilities. Then in 1975 the company became involved in the design-build method of construction which is the cornerstone of Schiedel's business today.
Schiedel Construction became incorporated in 1981. Today, Fred Schiedel as President, Phil Schiedel as Secretary, and Cheryl White as Controller embrace new challenges as the company ventures into the new century.
